Staff Guide: Redeeming a Taste Passport

A passport holder opens their passport on their own phone and scans the Taste QR sign posted at your location. The location QR opens the official Taste offer page at tasteoftimnath.com/go/....

Staff do not scan a code from the customer's phone. No app is required; redemption is handled through the Taste website.

1. Ask the customer to open their passport on their own phone.
2. The customer scans your location's posted Taste QR. It opens tasteoftimnath.com/go/... on their phone.
3. The customer taps Redeem offer and shows staff the successful result for your business.
4. Verify the business name and success message, then apply your business's listed Taste offer.

Each business sets its own listed offer and restrictions. The restrictions are part of the offer — for example, "not during Happy Hour" or "Timnath Beerwerks beers only." Apply your offer exactly as listed. If you are unsure what the listed offer is, check your business's listing on the Taste directory or contact the Chamber.

The passport does not cover items outside the offer. Anything beyond the listed offer is paid for normally.

• "The page says offer unavailable" — the offer may have already been redeemed on that passport, or the campaign window has ended. Politely ask them to show the live result, and call the Chamber if it does not match what you see.
• "I can't scan the QR code" — confirm the customer is scanning your posted location QR with their own phone. If the sign is missing or damaged, contact the Chamber; do not invent a code or workaround.
• "The customer says they bought a passport but have no link" — they can open the confirmation email or contact membership@timnathchamber.com for help.
• "Someone wants to use a screenshot or a printed code" — the passport is meant to be opened live on the holder's phone. If they cannot open it, direct them to the support email.
